Networks
Australian CleanTech conceived and has introduced the concept of Cleantech Networks to Australia in 2008.
The Cleantech Networks provide a forum for investors, companies, government and academia to meet, learn about the sector and collaborate.
The Adelaide and Sydney CleanTech Networks are not profit-making ventures but rather provide a forum for industry participants to network and for cleantech companies to pitch for investment.
The CleanTech Angels Network provides a mechanism for cleantech companies seeking funds to connect with angel investors interested in the sector.
It is anticipated that the Cleantech Networks will evolve into an organisation with a national as well as a state focus and will become a hub for all the key cleantech discussions within Australia. In time it is also planned to establish the Cleantech Networks as a hub for international activity within Australia. The Australian CleanTech Network will be the primary hub for this activity.
Australian CleanTech has also established virtual networks in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth and will move progressively towards establishing regular events in these cities. Organisations interested in partnering in these initiatives should contact John O'Brien.
